Hi katie,
I recently received a horrible rating in houseplants. I reviewed the question and my answer and as far as I can tell I answered her question. Is there anyway to keep this from affecting my over all rating?
Also there has been a few times that I have received a rating of 9 and 8. One of them, a follow up question about Coleus seeds by Paul, is the only one I feel I even came close to deserving because technically I didn't know the exact answer to his question. I had explained to him that I had never harvested Coleus seeds before because when you allow a Coleus plant to produce seeds it has fulfilled it's life cycle and dies so stem cuttings is a much better way to propagate Coleus.
I don't think I really deserved the other 9 & 8 ratings but the questioners obviously did and that is their right but I definitely did not deserve that horrible rating from Joan.

Our policy prevents us from changing ratings.

We get several requests to remove negative ratings each week. It is simply not fair to the other experts who asked before whom we said "no" to. It is also unfair to the
thousands of other volunteers on our site who do not ask.
