Hi Katie

I answer at four different categories and got tired looking into each "pool" everyday when they were empty for weeks. Now after not checking for ten days, I suddenly found four old questions in the pool "Space Exploration". I will answer them but the risk is high getting rated badly for a very late answer.

Is it possible for members in a category to be notified by e-mail when a question enters the pool? That way the question would be answered far quicker.

We disable the timeliness rating for questions from the question pool, so you don't need to worry about getting rated badly for late answers. Furthermore, questions from the pool are excluded when we calculate your average response time for the Expert Awards Section.

I'll see what I can do to add a feature that allows experts to get emails about new questions from the pool. I've put in on our long list of new feature requests for this site.
