AllExperts.com/Recent Surge in Questions
Expert: Katie - 8/7/2006
QuestionAbout a month ago, I noticed a surge in questions from all over the country. Before I had received maybe four, five or six questions a month. I now receive that many in a day. I have no objection, but it really has me curious why it increased.
Oh, for your information, I am getting a huge amount of questions from people who want to cancel their listing with their agent and/or dissatisfaction with their agent. To me, this verifies a very poor real estate market. Just in case this is of interest.
AnswerThe number of questions we receive per day has tripled in the past 4 months and we expect it to continue to increase. However, since your questions counts have more than tripled, I agree there must be other factors involved.
Have you updated your description or bio in the past month or so? Perhaps the changes are attracting more questioners.
Have you recently received high ratings and enthusiastic praise from a questioner? That individual may have recommended you to his/her friends, or posted a link to your profile in a popular forum. If it is the latter, then I should warn you that you will be getting 10 questions a day very soon.
As to whether there is a correlation between the real estate market and the number of questions you receive per day, I am far from an expert in that industry, so I really can't say. Sorry I couldn't help with that.
Thanks for Volunteering,
Katie
