Question
Hi, I'm an expert in the Suicide Prevention category and got a  question and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do what this person asks. They essentially want to give me an email address for his girlfriend and talk to her since her mother has forbidden him from talking to her...am I allowed to do something like that?

Answer
If the girl is under 18, I suggest you do not second-guess her legal guardian.

However, unlike you, I do not know the specifics of the situation, so please rely on your best judgement.

Is the questioner just a kid using you to get around his girlfriend's parents? Or is she in imminent danger? If it's the latter then please advise the questioner to call 911 or report this to the police near her home. They have the authority to intervene if necessary.
