I think there needs to be an audit of prestige points. I've been an expert here since 2000, am the highest rated in my category, and have answered the most questions as well as gotten the most ratings.
Another expert in one of my categories has over 11,000 prestige points, which is not mathematically possible given the number of questions he has answered. I think someone figured out to hack the system and is boosting their ratings artificially. =(

Just wanted to suggest an answer to the question of Prestige Points: how about something like an "official certification" as an expert, once you have received a certain (?) number of points? (It has the advantages of being cheap but impressive!)
. . . Just a thought . . . !

Maybe site sponsors would donate free downloads (songs, ringtones, etc.) or ecoupons worth a discount or little freebie from their sites. It would be really nice to get a (small) kickback for all the time it takes to volunteer.

If any expert gets 30 point whenever they receive knowledge rating over 7, then all the prestige point should be dividable by 30 which not always the case!
