AllExperts.com/Can I get paid to answer questions?

QuestionYou must get paid to answer questions. Do you have any position openings where I could get paid to answer questions...doesn't hurt to ask right? :)

It seems to me that private messages shouldn't be allowed to be rated. People can't see what the answer was and decide for themselves if the response merited the negative ratings. Can that be changed?

I see your point. I will speak with my team about this next week. We meet every Wednesday to discuss possible changes to the site.
AnswerActually, I get paid to write code for this site and to manage the roll-out of new releases. I answer questions here on my own time, to help out volunteers (at least that's what I hope I'm doing) and also because I believe that the best way to figure out how to improve AllExperts is to use it myself on a regular basis. This is also a more efficient way (that is until I get the "suggestion box" I plan to add up and running) to get everyone's feedback to understand what's important to you and your fellow experts.
As to position openings for paid answers, here's why we don't do that:

Also, AllExperts makes an insignificant amount of revenue compared to About.com, so About gives us a very limited budget for new staff ($0). However, if you send me your resume (please email it to experts@about.com), I can look it over and give it to one of the About.com departments that may have such an opening.
You can also sign up with "Just Answers" or "Kasamba" - I hear they pay their experts.
Hope this helps
and thanks for volunteering,
Katie :)
