I have a problem with my homesite 4.5.1:
When i try to use design editing i receive a popup with the messaje : "no such interface supported" and the program stop working.

Is this a new install, or has this just started happening recently?

Is a new install (the first one on this system). I use windows 98 SE and maibe that is the couse.

I am not aware of any issues with windows 98SE, there have been problems with windows ME (But that pretty much goes for any software!)

Generally, I find that design editing in Homesite was fraught with problems. I never used it, more than a quick trial to see how it worked. I mainly use the HTML editor. And if you want to get into the more complex stuff, you should teach yourself HTML. It isn't that hard.

The most recent version of homesite (that is now done by macromedia), has dropped this feature all together.

If you want to use a WYSIWYG editor, there are many out there including Front Page. For simple pages, MS-Word, and Corel Wordperfect have HTML export page features.

The best WYSIWYG editor out there (for my money) is Macromedia Dreamweaver. It does a lot of cool stuff (which is I guess why there is no design mode in the Macromedia home site)

Sorry I could not be of more help, but software troubleshooting is a whole new can of worms!
