Expert: James - 2/1/2006

I was at the free concert the 1st day I set foot in Atlanta in December 1969.  Can you tell me the exact date and are pictures of the event available?  It was an unforgetable experience.  I was watching the CMT channel documentary on southern rock recently and the concert was mentioned and I saw a fleeting picture of the audience but flashed by so fast I couldn't see much.

I am bout 60 miles south of there-and alltho I do recall I do not have an exact answer-I will say tho that in Barnesville Ga near here-they used to put on free shows at the Gordon Jr military college-and b4 that and fame came fer them-they often ate chicken from dumpsters due to lack of income-my step dad was a security guard for Phil Walden on Mulberry st in Macon-I was born in 58 so I was sorta a kid back then-I do recall sessions for Greggs Laid Back lp where they recruited singers off the street out front-and I recall guys from Wet Willie and Grinderswitch coming in and out-oh and at Duanes funeral they proped his guitar up in front of the casket and various folks took turns singing--that wuz during the Eat a Peach time-I was not at that concert u spoke of-alltho I have heard of it-I can give no definite answer as I may be off to some degree-my apologies...  James
