I apologize if this is vague. There was an episode in ally mcbeal where ally's boyfriend at the time (played by Jesse L. Martin ) was singing a song to her  and was joined on stage by Ally's best friend (played by Lisa Nicole Carson ). Ally stormed out immediately. My question what was the song that they were singing?

Your question is not at all too vague.  There were actually two songs during that scene, which is from the season 1 episode 'Happy Birthday, Baby'.  Originally Jess L. Martin is singing by himself and the song is "Love Me", written by Leiber & Stoller and popularized by Elvis Presley.  When he is joined by Lisa Nicole Carson they sing "Don't" together; this is another Leiber/Stoller song popularized by Elvis.
