Question
Hello Dr. Conner, I suffer from non-cancerous fibroid tumors
and they are starting to become more and more painful all the time.  Do you know or have any suggestions on how to shrink them thru natural medicine.  I appreciate ANY help.

Hello Jan,
Thanks for writing.  With unusual conditions, it is always a good idea to find out what the underlying cause is, so it can be corrected.  When there are any abnormal growths in the body, this may be a sign that the normal routes of elimination are not open.  So a whole body cleanse program improves the way the body eliminates wastes, and the body no longer needs the growths.  Sometimes there are other processes occuring, instead of this or in addition to this--such as inflammation--so I couldn't say for sure this might help, but it might.  To complete a whole body cleanse, it would be ideal to consult a naturopathic doctor in person (www.naturopathic.org) since we are trained extensively in this area and can individualize a program for you.  Elements would include a hypoallergenic diet, copious water, supportive supplements or herbs, saunas, skin brushing, & other forms of skin elimination, breathing exercises, and sometimes colonics, homeopathics, or other treatments.  This will yield the best results with the least side effects.  
You may also consider consulting a homeopath for a constitutional prescription for a remedy; this is often useful in helping the whole body regain balance.
