Alternative Medicine/orthostatic tremors

Question
Do you know of an alternative medication that would help these standing
tremors?  The doctors put me on beta blockers but they make me dizzy as I do
not have high blood pressure,  Now they put me on xanax and clonopin. I fell 2
times this past month from these standing tremors.  They tell me it is in the
genes. Hurt by back and now I am in therapy 2 days a week ,  Thanks  Louise

Answer
Hi Louise,
Considering what your doctor prescribed I assume he/she thinks you have what is called essential tremor and not PArkinson's.
Sometimes the anti-seizure medication Mysoline (primidone) is used to treat this condition.
Ask your doctor about it.
Thank you for using Allexperts
