Alternative Medicine/Weight Loss

Question
I noticed your comment about a fairly novel approach to weight loss in which you lost ten pounds. I have tried so many diets and products. A couple of years ago, because of high blood pressure (mostly pre-hypertension) and high blood sugar, I changed the way I eat. I eat very little sugar or starches, but I have not lost any weight. I hear so often about people cutting something out and the weight just peels off. I am at a loss as to how I can loose weight. I don’t know how I can be eating so different, but not loose any weight. I don’t exercise and know I should. Most weight loss plans and products require that you exercise and drink a lot of water. I think that if you exercise and drink a lot of water you wouldn’t need their plan or product. Any way, do you have something that you think can help me?

Answer
Hi Jane,
To be honest with you, I've gained most of the ten lbs back. We are raising my grandson and I feel I don't have the time to do what I had been doing. But I'll tell you what it was anyway.
I got a DVD called, Family Yoga. I love this thing and I was doing the postures everyday. They are so easy their kids do it with their parents. At the same time, I kept a tall can of Arizona Green Tea, Diet, with Ginseng, next to my computer all day. I still do that. Lastly, I tried to eat FISH instead of beef once or twice a week for dinner. I cannot imagine anyone losing weight when they eat beef once a day.
Each day I take a probiotic capsule and a chlorella capsule. I never miss a day. I will gradually increase the chlorella up to six daily.
So, there is (or was) my weightloss plan. I do miss the yoga. It is amazing how much better you sleep when you do Family Yoga 4-5 times a week. Good luck, Suz

I can answer questions regarding helping or curing various diseases and ailments as well as make suggestions on what not to do and give my opinion on what traditional medicine says on the subject given. I believe we need doctors for certain problems such as broken bones but I personally have rarely seen a doctor in over ten years. I take over ten supplements per day at age sixty-two. I will do my best to assist in anything from minor infections to major disease but will readily admit when I cannot offer someone any help. I have discovered a fairly novel approach to weightloss in which I have lost ten pounds.

I have been helping heal myself, friends and family for ten years and have studied alternative medicine for fifteen years beginning in approximately 1991.
