Alternative Medicine/forehead balding
Expert: Milan Mehta - 4/18/2008
QuestionHi Milan,
Around the time i was 17 my hair started thinning on the forehead. I moved to australia when i was 18 and it was still thinning but since i was young and there was noone to look after me i didn't pay much attention. To make the matters worse i coloured my hair a bit and also used hair dryer etc. I'm 26 now and although i still have hair, it's very little on my forehead. I also had a very itchy, pus filled boils on my scalp for many years. I stopped shampoo and conditioner recently and the itchy boils went away in a week. I also used lavender oil,tea tree oil and rosemany mix on my hair once a week and i have small hair growing in areas. I see no hair however growing on my forehead. I can see the follicles that have no hair growign out. I'm really conscious of it as i'm a performer and it affects my self-esteem. I have recenly given up even dairy and i'm now a vegan. I'm currently fasting on lemon juice and hope this will wash some toxins out of my system. i don't know if alopecia areata...i would really like you recommend to me any ayurvedic cures. I also have neem oil that i use when i have reactions on my skin. What would you suggest to get my hair to grow back? Thank you kindly. You are doing a great job!!
AnswerDear Maya,
Thank you for your kind words regarding my work.
Please note that there is no magic wand which can guarantee that your hair can regrow so fast.
However all actions taken by you are in according to what all experts say.
You can now also try:
1. Protein rich food
2. Linoleic acid capsules / food
3. Herbal actives rather than chemical actives
Detoxification is also good as it cleanses the blood which is going to the hair follicles area.
Important is you should have taken care the moment you started losing it.
Anyway nothing to worry about self-esteem.
You can wear cap / handkerchief, etc..
Hair fall, especially Forehead balding is no more a disease..its prevalent everywhere due to Pollution in Food, Water & Air combined with stressful life.
However in females normally it is seen less. Maybe it is due to hormonal imbalance. Neem Leaf Capsules might help if that is the case.
Kindly talk to a registered Naturopath/ Ayurvedic doctor before you start any therapy.
Best of Luck and Happy Life !!
