Question
Eric
Have you heard of this herb? It is supposed to be a wonder herb and also help stimulate the thyroid.
I am borderline hypothyroid and I am not doing well with Synthroid-it is giving me stomach cramps and I am havent lost any weight after eight weeks of synthroid/low calorie diet.
Thanks

Answer
Hi Carl,
Sorry, I do not know this herb. Thyroid medications are not recommended for weight loss. In addition to low calorie diet, increasing you kevel of activitiy/exercise will help with weight loss. Have you has your thyroid level checked since you started Synthroid? As to the stomach cramps. I suggest you try taking it with a light snack. Generally it is recommended that synthroid be taken on empty stomach. Buy if you are consistent in hoe you take it the dose can be adjusted until your thyroid function is within target.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
