Question I know that normally, you would be expecting a question about a specific situation or problem.
Mine is a bit different
I am 17 years old and I am very interested in majoring in Alternative Medicine or nutrition or somthing that involves using other remedies aside from that prescribed by your general doctor and advising other people on how to use alternative medicine.
Where did you attend college?
Which classes did you take?
Were there other sources of information you used to advance your knowledge in this subject?
Do you have any advice for me on persuing this career?
Thank you for your time
Karyn.
Answer It is very important to find a mentor to help you as working with an individual client is much different than learning from classes/text and applying it.
My favorite classes are at Tree of Light. Treelite.com
They are the most practical/applicable.
Classes you can take which might come through your area are
cnhp.org
Clayton is the most well know but I have not been very pleased with their N.D. program.
Where are you located? Finding a good mentor and classes you can take from someone who has a personal interent in you is your best choice.
