what is the best product to remove plaque from intestines,to eliminate systemic yeast safely, also, will anti-fungals kill good bacteria

Answer
Hello donna,
Thanks for writing.  There are a few simple steps you can take to do a cleanse, which will improve the body's ability to eliminate--in other words, improve natural processes.  On it's own, a cleanse will not eliminate everything from the GI tract, but improves overall elimination.  What is most successful is looking at all the ways you can eliminate--not just the liver/ Gi tract.  We also eliminate through the skin, kidneys, lungs, and mental/emotions.  A good cleanse program will address all of these; without that, you are much more likely to experience the side effects of increased detoxification, such as fatigue, headache, digestive problems, etc.  By making sure you have rest, emotional discharge, mild exercise, saunas or steams, massage, breathing exercises, fresh air, and adequate pure water & herbal teas, you ensure that you are eliminating through all routes.  For the cleanse, you will want to have a whole foods, organic diet for the duration.  That means primarily fruits, veggies, with some legumes, whole grains, proteins, & oils.  No processed foods, sugars, trans-fats, or artificial ingredients.  Just that is often enough, it depends on how your diet is currently.  In addition, you can add in a multivitamin, antioxidant, fiber, essential fatty acid, and liver support, if you'd like.  This assists in the process but should not be relied upon alone.
If you wish to address yeast specifically, you would add in an antifungal agent such as oregano oil, caprylic acid, garlic, tannalbit, or pau d'arco, or a combination of these.  Most people find they need to take this for 2-4 weeks while doing the rest of the cleanse steps (diet, exercise, etc).  And yes, antifungals may eliminate some good bacteria, so it's a good idea to follow up with a good quality probiotic for another 1-3 months.
For more specific guidance, you may want to consult a naturopathic doctor (www.naturopathic.org) in your area.  Good luck.
In health,
