Question
QUESTION: Hi there,

I recently went to a dermatologist and I was told that I am experiencing female pattern hairloss. I am 25 5'2 130 lbs and I believe my blood type is A. My energy is a lot higher in the afternoon and I feel the need to sleep to 12 hrs a day if I can. I do have some mild gas once in a while depending what I eat usually excess in dairy does it or green beans. I had blood work done and everything was normal. I really don't want to use Rogaine if I don't have to but instead I am interested in fixing the imbalance that is happening in my body. I was reading somewhere on this site about frutavida (it's a juice) and taking folic acid. I'm not sure if this has been proven to work but it apparently corrects the imbalances as well as to avoid artificial sweeteners and soy products and drink 7 glasses of filtered water to flush out toxins.
or can you recommend other treatment?
Thank you

ANSWER: As part of what I do I analyize blood work and even though blood work can be in range it does not always mean the body is functioning well.

If it were me I would feed the thryoid with
Thyroid activator as morning low energy is also an indication of low thyroid.
HSN-W is also an excellent choice. It stands for hair, skin and nails.

I would stay away from food which lower the thryoid:
Cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips, etc.)

Soybeans and soy extracts

Millet

Peaches

Strawberries

Radishes

Spinach

Peanuts

Eating sea vegetables is also a good choice.

I glasses of water and avoiding aftifical sweeters are also good.
I would also work with circulation and use Co Q 10 30
Thai Go - which is a super antioxidant probaby much like the frutavida is also a good choice.

The other area to look at is liver congestion but a full consult would be needed to know if this might be an issue.

Drinking a 1/2 of a cup of warm water with 1/2 an organic lemon squeezed in it first thing in the am can also help here.

QUESTION: Thank you for your response.
When I mentioned my blood work being done I meant my M.D. checked the typical routine they do when someone is experiencing hairloss. I know my thyroid is fine, iron is fine, B12 is fine. The suggestions you mentioned; are they suppose to stop hairloss and regrow hair? I should also mentioned that I do have occasional yeast infections which by the way my partner thinks is Candida. As a child I contracted Hep B. I am not sure how I got it but I lived in a different country where I am now which is Canada. I am not sure if this is all relevant but I was seeing a naturopath and I didnt see any results at all. I feel like I should go back to her so she can guide me into how to correct my imbalances. I just don't want to wait too long as I don't want to lose what is left with my hair. What about folic acid? Is this suppose to help with hair growth. I have read some women using prenatal vitamins for hair loss. I have also been taking BCP since I was 19 which could add to an excess of estrogen. thanks

Answer
Unfortunatly just because they say your blood work is in range does not mean it is fine.  Did they do T3 and T4 and AST and ALT?  I look at these different than a doctor does.  I have had many clients tell me their hair has begun regrowing after using these products.  Evey person is different.  If you even think you might have candida issues I would also work with Bifidolophous Flora force to restore the balance of candida in the body.  I would do B Complex for the Folic acid as it it not good to take one without the others. 100 mg a day is good. You can find this on my web site.  I do offer phone consults.

I am not certain what you are taking about when you say BCP?
Again, having your history I would work with the liver but a full consult would be needed to determine what is going on here.
