Subject: yeast infection or die-off effect?

Question
QUESTION: I recently had the stomach flu and was taking grapefruit seed extract 3x a day
to help overcome it.  One day after I got better, I felt what I thought was a
yeast infection coming on.  This seemed really wierd to me, since I know how
good GSE is for yeast as well, so it doesn't make sense that it would cause a
yeast infection.  Now that I think about it, this happened to me 2 mos. ago as
well after I was taking GSE for sinus issues.  I had all of the yeast symptoms
and took Diflucan for it.  Now, I am wondering if maybe it isn't yeast, but a
die off effect of accumalated yeast in my body?  I have googled die off effect
and it lists many symptoms, but doesn't say they could mimic a yeast
infection.  So, my question is, what does it sound like is going on with me
and what should I do?  I douched with GSE last night and now I'm not so sure
I should have done that, although I don't notice any discharge today, just the
same burning feeling.
 Thank-you for your help.

ANSWER: It is my understanding that Diflucan pushes the yeast back into the cells which gives releif from symtpoms.  Have not read a report but have been told this by others in the field.

Dye off usually happens very quickly.  You did not actually list your specific symtpoms so it is hard to know what is going on.  Have you had any blood work done to make sure you do not have any kind of infection?

If it were me, I would get on Yeast Fungal Detox, Silver Shield to fight any infection and Probiotic 11.

To restore the body where yeast is concern the digestive system must be working well.  I don't know if there is any digestive issues going on as you did not say. Also to restore the body the adrenals must be working well.

There is much information which would be needed. You may choose to do a full consult with me via phone or find someone in your area to consult with.

QUESTION: Thank-you for your response.  I am confused by your answer though.  I am
not sure why blood work would be suggested?  I have had yeast infections in
the past, but never had a blood test to confirm it.  Also, I mentioned that my
symptoms were those of a yeast infection-burning/discharge.  No other
symptoms.  My question is could the GSE have caused a die off effect in my
body, thus far making it seem like I have a yeast infection, when in actuality,
it is just the die off effect?

Answer
Blood work would tell us if there is any infection going on in the body. You did not list your symptoms and some symptoms of candida or yeast can be the same as an infection. Just trying to get answers as to what is going on. To see if you went to a doctor and if he ran bloodwork. I use bloodwork in my analysis so everything is a clue.

There can be additional symtpoms of yeast like itching nose, itching skin, white under eyes, etc.
Helps to know if the yeast is local or systemic.

Yes, it could but it would only be for a few days.

You have to address the root issue of yeast which is digestion/adrenals for the candida to resolve itself.
