Question
I am trying to determine if mixing certain herbs and supplements could cause any problems.  I currently take 2000mg (1/2 taken in the AM between breakfast and lunch, the remainder just before bed) of L-Arginine and 1000mg (1/2 at breakfast, 1/2 at lunch) of Maca root powder daily.  I would like to add an herb called Akarkara but cannot determine if this would cause any type of health issue.  Also do you have any idea of a recommended dose?  The supplement pack I take from GNC also has: Oat Powder, Saw Palmetto berry extract, Beta-sitosterols, Pygeum Bark powder, Lycopene.  The name of the GNC vita pak is Performance and Vitality pak.

I have recently had a lifestyle change and my ex wife did not have any issue with how long our "time together" lasted.  However, the new lady in my life needs much longer to get to that same place.

I am 46, in good health (BP averages around 115/70, pulse 48, ht 6 wt 185, good cholesterol levels, no history or probability of diabetes).

Answer
Hello Shawn,

First let me say I would never purchase my nutrients at GNC due to the low quality of product.  I would also never exceed the suggested amount on the bottle without working with a health care professional.  The suggested amount on the bottle with most companies is the maintance amount and should not be exceeded.
I am not familar with the Ararkara.

What you eat is very important.  Not taking in trans fats and high glycemic foods is just as important as any herb you can take in. Exercise is also important.  Co Q 10 can also help with circulation.

Hope this helps.
