Alternative Medicine/Gastritis or...? Natural treatment?

Question
Last night, I had a sudden horrible pain in my stomach.  I was also constipated before this happened.  Thinking that it was my constipation that caused my cramping and nausea, I drank Phillip's to loosen my bowels.  About an hour after that, I was going to the bathroom every 1/2 hour with very loose bowels and no end to my nausea and cramping.  After about 2 hours, the only thing that was coming out, was green "cooked shredded spinach" looking watery bowels.  After 6 hours, I had to take pepto to stop the flow because my stomach was still in so much pain, but I had a feeling that I actually had stomach lining in my bowels at that point.  I am not certain on that though.  Today, my stomach is still cramping and I have had one loose bowel.  I need relief, but I don't even know what I have.  Please help.

Answer
Hi Jenni,
It sounds to me you have food poisoning. It usually last only 24 HRS. Two tablets of Imodium (loperamide) usually stops it. I it persists or you have fever and chills with it you need to see a doctor.
Is this the first time it happened to you? DO you have any other medical problems? Are you on any other medications?
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
