Question
Can I add Baking Soda to beans?  Is it harmless for Human body? Please advice.  Thanks

Answer
Hello Elaheh,
Thanks for your question.  You can add small amounts of baking soda to beans when soaking, to help make them more digestible and cook faster.  The recommended amount is 1/4 teaspoon baking soda to 1 cup dried beans.
Sincerely,
Dr Conner
