Hello, I have an ankle that was severely broken years ago and still has hardware in it. The pain has worsen and I am having difficulty getting around on it. Can you tell me if Reflexology will help with the arthritis and swelling? Could you recommend some other therapy that might help me in managing the pain. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Hi there and thank you for writing.  I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well.  This forum however is for general questions regarding osteopathic medicine.  In your case, I believe you need a physician to examine your ankle and figure out if the pain is related to the hardware inserted or a problem with the other joints and structures of the ankle.  All of this information would help you and your physician what alternative modalities could be helpful in your recovery.  I hope you get a good diagnosis and treatment soon and feel better.  Dr. S.
