Question
Dear Expert,

I suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, so my question is simple:

Is there any way to eliminate the syndrome?

In my situation the syndrome appears because of rapidly Mouse usage. I am not suffer from other diseases which my affect carpal tunnel, and my weight is in normal range.

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hello Mufid,

Thank you very much for your question. There are several things that can be done to assist with reducing your symptoms. One is investing in an ergonomic mouse. They are a little more expensive than the traditional mice. They are specifically designed to reduce pressure on the medial nerve. Another suggestion would be to do what you can to reduce local swelling and inflammation. I would not recommend ice packs as they can stiffen the joint and potentially worsen symptoms. Lastly, acupuncture treatments for 1 month and 2 times per week would be very beneficial in reducing your symptoms. I would suggest you consider visiting and acupuncturist for a further evaluation. I do hope you have found this information useful. If I may be of further assistance, please do let me know.

Regards,
Coninyah B. Dew L.Ac., M.S.O.M.
