Question
My sister in law is 21 years old and has RA. She is on hydroxychloroquine and diclofenac and because she experiences severe pain, she also needs to takes norco. We are concerned for her because it's highly addictive. But what is she suppose to do for body pain b/c the other two i mentioned don't do anything for pain. We recently heard about Bee Venom therapy. The questions are does it mix with her prescribed medications and will it help her with her pain?

Answer
Hi Brenna,
I have no information on bee venom therapy. As to the pain issue, if it is ongoing your sister needs to see her rheumatologist for review. She may need a medication such as methotrexate which is reserved for severe cases.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
Eric Brandt, B.Sc. Pharm
