Alternative Medicine/Fibro Calcfic Lesions

Question
Hello Dr. Kristina,

I have been reading a lot about Apple cider vinegar and its healing properties.
Please guide me as I think this is hope in my condition.
When ever I take a chest x-ray the report reads Fibro Calcific Opacities or Fibro Calcific Foci seen in left mid zones in my left lung.

The doctors I have consulted have told me that they are old scars and are minimal.

I have been to many doctors and they have all told me that there in no way of removing the scars from my left lung as the technology does not exist.

I have searched the net for answers and nothing seems to be promising.

I researched Neprinol (enzyme medication ) on the internet and consulted many doctors and they told me it wont help as it is for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and what I have is Fibro Calcific Foci left behind due to some inflammation or infection, they say it could have been primary tuberculosis and it healed itself however when I discovered the scarring I did start taking the PTB medication for a period of 6 months as a safe guard. This was way back in 2004-2005.

I did come that it was recommend Apple cider vinegar in an aerosol or inhaler and when upon inhaling it reaches the lungs and it will dissolve the calcification. Can this be true?
I am not certain about this as they say ACV is a rich in calcium.

Please advise me as I am considering using ACV inhalation if it will help in removing the calcification within my lungs. Or is there any other remedy for removing the fibro calcification in my lungs?

I need a normal chest x-ray where no scars are seen in my chest x-ray.

Thanking you,

Robbie.

Answer
Hello Robbie,
Thanks for your question.  Apple cider vinegar is a good supplement, but I think many claims about it's use are exagerated.  It is great for digestive health, which does impact many other aspects of health.  But there's no rational reason why it would cure advanced conditions, so I am more skeptical.  I have not heard of it being used in an inhaler form.  I don't think this is safe, especially in the larger amounts that it would likely take to change anything (assuming it was effective for dissolving calcifications, which I do not know).  I wouldn't recommend it, given the current evidence.
Scars can be difficult to eliminate.  Improving general health may help.  You may want to investigate cell salts.  These are supplements that may provide some nutrients, and improve the body's ability to deal with nutrients, sometimes resulting in the resolution of calcified areas.
Good luck,
Dr Conner
