Alternative Medicine/OsteoValin

Question
I was reading an article recently about an alternative to products like Fosamax and Boniva for osteoporosis (http://www.nwherald.com/columnists/columns/2009/02/06/r_bbvznndrs5cnrhzw0t9g1q/i...).  This sounds like an excellent supplement.  What can you tell me about OsteoValin (www.osteovalin.com)?

Answer
Hello Katie,
Thanks for your question.  I don't know this particular brand, but I have used other brands of strontium.  It works well to help maintain bone density, and can even help rebuild, if used in proper dosages along with calcium and additional bone building nutrients.  The research is positive, but it has not been used for long so not many people know about it.  Lifestyle changes such as weight bearing exercise, a whole foods diet low in sugar, alcohol, carbonated beverages, and caffeine, stress management, and other supportive treatments are also needed for best results.
In health,
