Answer
Hello Divya,
Thanks for writing.  Vitex is often helpful in regulating periods, but it can take 3-6 months to see a full effect.  So you may not have been taking it for long enough, also make sure you are taking a high quality brand and enough of a dosage.  I prefer to use the alcohol extract/ tincture, I find it works best for most women.  In addition, there are other issues involved with PCOS.  Often blood sugar issues are part of the picture, which are addressed by weight loss, blood sugar regulating diet (low glycemic, higher protein, frequent meals), and supplements such as chromium.  Stress is another area that needs to be addressed, with lifestyle changes and other supplements/ herbs.  Menses are more likely to return when the body is is great overall health, so perhaps there are other areas you can work on; which will also benefit you when you do get pregnant.
Good luck,
Dr Conner
