Question
My child was diognosed with lipoma in her knees & thighs (there huge).  Nothing has been prescribed. How can I get rid of the swelling because it's causing stretchmarks.

Answer
Hello Anette,
Thanks for your question.  Lipomas can be considered a sign that other areas of the body are not eliminating optimally.  So many times, correcting those issues will help resolve the lipomas, without doing much to address them specifically.  Sometimes they need to be removed, but working on elimination can help prevent them from recurring.
Elimination takes place through the liver and GI tract, skin and lymph, kidneys, lungs, and emotions.  Making sure these are open and releasing can be done with steps that will improve health overall.  Exercise, stress management, sleep, rest, water, sun & air exposure are all a part of this.  Diet that is high in antioxidant & fiber rich foods like vegetables, fruit, whole grains, & legumes will promote elimination also.  More specific therapies can be added, like homeopathics or herbs.  I'd suggest you might seek out a naturopathic doctor(www.naturopathic.org) near you if you want specific guidance on that, because with kids there are more issues to consider.
In health,
