Question

I started taking nux vomica for nausea from Gastroparesis. I have a very sloww bowel and tummy. I am on glycolax 3x;s a day which I have been able to cut down to 1/2 a dose since starting the Nux this past Sunday. I also take Carafate for imflamed tummy which I find is useless but w/o it the SOD and bile duct pain (1/4 inch bile duct cut in gall bladder surgery). The Nux stopped the wanting to throw up feeling right in it's tracks. Is this Nux safe to take long term. I am taking 30c 2 pills under the tongue 4 x's a day. I take it 1/2 an hour before eating and before bed. Is this dangerous to my liver. I has Hep B in the past. Can this stuff hurt my liver . I love the nux It has given me my life back. Thanks for your service Rae

Answer
Hello Rae,
Thanks for writing. Homeopathics are extremely safe, and do not interact with medications.  They are safe to take long-term, if needed, but they are often not needed indefinitely.  Since homeopathics address the underlying imbalance, ideally there should come a time when they are no longer needed, because the body has healed.  OR, sometimes people need a new remedy at that time, because the symptoms have changed.  If you are interested in finding long-lasting relief, this can be done through an experienced homeopath.  They will use higher potencies that can be taken less often with a deeper, longer-lasting effect.  To search for a homeopath in your area, visit http://homeopathy.org or http://homeopathic.org/
