Hi, I have my acne under control, except I get sebum plugs in my pores, if they get infected I get huge cystic acne that leads to scarring.  It doesn't happen often but the big sebum plugs are there all the time.  Can I change my diet, take a vitamin, or use a topical treatment to clear out the sebum?  I get especially large plugs 3-4mm in diameter on my jawline, and they are sometimes quite inflamed.

Dear John,

Acne is caused by ACNE VULGARIS.

Neem Leaf Powder / Extract or any good source of Zinc shall be highly effective in solving your problem.

It is very clear that you have to follow diet which is less Oily.

Secondly, your bowel movements must be clear as Stomach upsets, Oily foods and bad environment on surface of skin causes Acne.

I would also recommend Face packs for Oily skin to decrease the quantity of Oil and thereby Sebum.
