Alternative Medicine - Reading and info resources

Question
Hello,
First of all, thank you for making yourself available for questions.  I enjoy reading about alternative medicine and alternative health practices but I guess, being new to finding things on the internet, I have difficulty finding resources for reading about alternative health practices.  Can you direct me to a few websites that you would suggest for learning more and/or keeping up with the latest information?  I'd love to read more about it all.

Answer
Hello Richard,
Thanks for your question.  While there's lots of information our there, it's true that it's difficult to find reputable sources. There are some good basic ones like about.com, Natural Health Magazine & website, and healthy.net.  Other resources fall into the category of government or integrative medical centers, like
www.nccam.nih.gov (National Center for alternative medicine at NIH), Dr Andrew Weil's website, or websites for any of the schools with integrative medicine programs.  The last group of resources are on the disciplines, such as the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care (ACCAHC), the American Holistic Medical Association, or naturalhealers.com, which has links to all the schools.  These are all good places to start & once you find a good websties, they will likely have good links to similar sites.
Good luck and happy reading!
Dr Conner
