Question
my father is today 81 years old and is being told that his kidneys are nowdadays not functioning as they used to......I think that this is something somewhat normal for his age......does a herbal remedy/nutritional supplements exist that can assist his kidneys to function better?

Answer
Hi - even though we age we can still do our best for optimal health :)   Is your dad on any nutritional program at this time.   From my experience, he can always optimize his health with a basic program.   Soy protein is easier on the kidneys than meat protein.   Plenty of filtered water daily is also helpful.  There are supplements that I use that I would highly recommend - a basic program called Vitalizer (no iron) which has the basics every person requires, a soy protein and a product called Vivix.  I have also read that saw palmetto helps kidney health as well as the prostrate gland.   You can learn more about these supplements at www.shaklee.net/integrativewellness.

Hope I have been of some help.  Regards  Suzanne
