Question Do you know much about Sleep Apnea and how to treat it naturally or with alternative medicine/holistic health? My 14yr old son has been diagnosed with it and I'm sure there is something that can help him rest and sleep deeply as well as wake up headache free, with energy and to be mopre alert and active throughout the day. Thanks!
Answer Hello Stephanie,
Thanks for your question. A natural approach can be very effective for dealing with sleep apnea. There are multiple areas to address, such as weight, sleep habits & sleeping environment, exercise, diet including food sensitivities, physical medicine, and supplementation or herbals. When taking this whole approach, most people would find improvement with better sleep & better overall health as well. For best results in treating this, I'd suggest you seek out a naturopathic doctor who can individually assess and treat your son. A comprehensive approach is much more effective than trying a single intervention at a time on your own. You can find one at www.naturopathic.org. Good luck!
