Alternative Medicine - candida

Expert: Glen Aukerman, M.D. - 7/4/2009

Question
I am almost 100% sure I have candida.  I have scaley patches on my face, around my mouth and I am scared it will continue to get worse.  It is so embarassing as I used to have nice clear skin.  I have had it in the past but with only a few small patches on my face.  the ones I have now are very noticeable.  What can I use as a topical cream or lotion to make them go away and what can I do internally?  Any homeopathic remedies?  How restrictive is the diet for this?  I know this seems like a lot but I am so worried, please give me something concrete to do or try.  thank you sooo much.

Answer
Fungal infections in humans is always from the gluten and gluten-like proteins in our diet, as are varicose veins and hemorrhoids from the secondary bowel heaviness on the pelvic veins.
To better understand, see www.medicalcenter.osu.edu/go/integrative   for the diet and what is needed to stay healthy or call Laura Kunze at the OSU CIM Core at 614-293-3944

Any fungal medicine or yogurt sitz bath will clear the symptoms but it will always return until you have been totally gluten free for 18-24 months
