Alternative Medicine/Emu Oil

Question
Hi Suzanne. I recently purchased a product called Emu oil that is suppose to be a fabulous moisturizer as well as not clog pores. I bought mine from an actual Emu farm here in the States. It is pure Emu oil, or so they claim.  Applied a very small amount to my face and left it on for the entire day.  I am a bit dissapointed in these claims that it is suppose to penetrate the skin and not be greasy and especially not clog pores.  I started to break out in pimples within hours of having this oil on my skin, it was very greasy too. Felt like I put chicken fat on my skin.  At the end of the day I had to wash it off.  It's been day three without the oil and the pimples are almost gone now.  Do you know anything about this oil?  Could it be that maybe I put too much on and that is why it felt so greasy?  I don't understand about the pimples though.  Please help.

Answer
HI - I can't speak directly of the emu oil but I can offer you a couple tips.  You could be having some type of allergic reaction to it.  We also need to work within for the health of our skin.  Do you drink lots of pure water - this is vital for our skin, our largest organ :)   as well as certain nutrients also contribute to skincare.  I would recommend a product I use called Enfuselle from Shaklee - check it out at www.shaklee.net/integrativewellness.   Check out the ingredients and the testimonials and claims because it truly works to keep your skin young and radiant.   Hope this helps some.  Best,  Suzanne
