Alternative Medicine/magnesium

Question
Hi
I am looking for something that will help an active senior such as myself recover quicker from minor injuries.
I am active in sports but recently have suffered runners knee (now I bike) and a sprained ankle.
I read that many people are deficient in magnesium which could help. Any other suggestions?
BTW I have tried glucosamine-didnt do a thing. Also I am now stretching more.
Thanks for your advice!

Answer
Hi Gord,
I do not recommend running for anyone. There is nothing that would speed up repetitive injury other than prevention. Engage in low impact exercise such as an elliptical trainer or fast pace/power walking.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
