Alternative Medicine/Arthritus

Question
Hi, do you know of a powerful (long lasting) internal remedy to take for cronic arthritus?

Answer
Hi Gene,
There is no cure for arthritis. We manage the pain and try to slow down the progression of the disease. There are many anti-inflammatories to manage the pain and several disease modifying medications that have shown to slow the progression. I can give you some examples of these but you need to see a rheumatologist for an evaluation of what is appropriate for you.
We use ibuprofen, naproxen, prednisone, diclofenac as anti-inflammatories. Methotrexae, hydroxychloroquine and infliximab are examples of medications that slow the progression.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
