Question
can you give me some idea as to how to deal with hypertension on a budget? ( or is there no such thing ? ).

Hi Peter,
limiting salt intake , smoking cessation, limiting alcohol intake and weight loss can go a long way to managing essential hypertension. If the hypertension is related to another cause such as diabetes than it is a little more complicated. Diuretics are inexpensive and usually can control hypertension well. However, often hypertension requires multiple drug therapy. Generics are less expensive than brand name drugs.
