Question
Hi
I have tried low calorie diets for months, running, every supplement in the store to try to lose weight but nothing helped.
A friend of mine recently died from a massive heart attack.
I currently have hypertension for which I take medication,
but thought I should try something else and CoQ10 came up.
I had used it before but it was a low quality low mg. brand in capsule form. This time I bought a gel cap 200mg.
Its only ben a week but I am visibly slimmer and have lost 2 pounds.
I havent made any changes (still running and eating around 1500 calories low fat) other than the CoQ10.
Do you think that is what is helping me?
I dont see it promoted for weight loss only for heart health.
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Barry,
CoQ10 is not promoted, nor known to help with weight loss.
It is more likely your exercise and low fat diet that is helping. Reducing carbohydrates will help. Also if you consume most of your daily carbs in the morning to allow the rest of the day to burn them will help.
Thank you for using Allexperts
