Alternative Medicine/starch/sugar blockers

Question
Hi
My local health shop has been promoting these now that we are into Halloween and the holiday season with an overabundance of starchy sweet treats.
In you experiance do they work?
I am 53.
I am under pressure to 'just have one' treat at the meetings I attend, and the visits with numerous relatives.
I dont do well with sugar or starch. I am not diabetic, but I when I eat even a small amount of sweets, I tend to put on weight and my belly bloats. This hapens even if my total calorie count is the same. I eat low carb I find its the only way to keep my weight dowm, and my blod pressure and overall health is better to combared to when I ate more carbs.
Are some more susceptible to the effects of sugar/starch and more likely to gain weight from it? Should I take this starch sugar blocking product?
Thanks!

Answer
Yes, sugar and starch promote weight gain in most people, esp after we begin to age. These are the two foods we should stay away from. Eating low glycemic is a great way to eat. I suggest adding enzymes to your meals and staying away from high glycemic foods. I suggest Proactazyme plus.
I sell a product called CarboGrabbers which is probably about the same thing. I would rather someone eat low glcyemic as they can help but that is not the true answer. Eating low glcyemic is a much better choice and take the plant based enzymes to break your food down.
