Alternative Medicine/ALS - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Expert: Glen Aukerman, M.D. - 2/7/2011
QuestionQUESTION: Dr. Auckerman,
I was referred to you by some of your current patients who had indicated that you had an alternative treatment regiment for ALS. I also see that you have answered a few questions on this forum about ALS including a regiment that "help our patients with ALS."
I'm wondering if you would be available to work with the experts over at ALS Untangled to document the cases, treatment, outcomes of your ALS patients. I think it would be a great help to both the patient base and scientific community performing ALS research to document the results.
I am out of state and can not travel easily. Would like more details.

ANSWER: Sorry but we do not do out of state consultations due to the Ohio Medical Board rules

QUESTION: Thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately, it doesn't answer the question. ALS is a devastating disease without a cure. If you have a regiment that has an effect of slowing the disease progression, there are 5000 new US citizens each year who would be interested in it. Are you saying you refuse to answer my question because I don't live in Ohio? If that's the case, I can get a request from the ALS Association of Central and Southern Ohio. Or are you saying you don't want to work with the experts over at ALS Untangled to document your case results?

No, I see patients with ALS by working directly with the patients.
