My daughter's 6 month old son has repeated bouts of stuffiness, day and night.  He becomes congested, has a cough and then for days it will disappear.  Then it's back again.  My pediatrician wants to put him on Singulair, which I am not comfortable in doing.  Is there an alternative to this for such a young child?  

He is in daycare and I see the other kids often sick as well.  It seems to be a constant battle of trying to keep him healthy.  My daughter is breast feeding him.

Dear Charlotte,

Kindly tell your daughter not to drink milk. Do not worry as Milk still shall secrete from her glands to the baby.

Secondly tell your daughter to avoid foods which results in gas formation. Fast food, raw food, salads, etc..and cold drinks, as she is breast feeding and it effects the baby on what she consumes.

If still the baby has problems, then go for the medication as informed to you OR consult a registered Naturopath/ Ayurvedic doctor/ physician.
