Question
For the past few weeks I have had a tight chest and had difficulty breathing which may commonly be described as bronchitis. I have been treated wiith chinese herbs which have relieved the symptoms but I have to stay on them or the symptoms return.Should I get cortisone treatment? While I have not found information on side effects of once off or irregular treatment of this I am not sure of it's safety. What is your advice?

Answer
Hi Jacques,
I am not in a position to make a diagnosis here. Chest tightness can be caused by heart problems, asthma, infection, reflux. I think you should see a doctor for a check up.
Thank you for using Allexperts
