Alternative Medicine/1. Herb-herb interactions 2. restless legs
Expert: Suzanne Rose Lubkowski - 9/18/2011
QuestionHello. First, I am interested to know if there is a complete list of herbal supplements that interact with each other on the internet. Do you happen to know where I might be able to find a list?
In addition, I have been battling restless leg syndrome for many years. I am on my second neurologist (the first one only wanted to prescribe medications) and is going to do nerve and circulation testing. I am only 42 years old, a teacher, and almost cannot function throughout the day because I am so tired. I am curious to know if you happen to have any wonderful ideas, or have heard anything that might help?
Thank you so much for your time.
AnswerHi Donna, I don't know of a complete list of an interaction chart for herbal supplements. I will keep my eyes open. This is a good sight that might be of some help.....

Regarding the restless leg, I can see how it would be challenging to teach and be on your feet as much as you need to dealing with this.
I can make a couple suggestions that you may have not tried yet:
- are you supplementing with any herbs and vitamins at this time? I only recommend Shaklee as I have been using these since 1994 and have had excellent results with them. I recommend the vitalizer pack which is the basic program needed by everyone.
Shaklee has another couple supplements I would recommend. There is a product called vivix (similar to resvetrol. This product tends to target whatever is needed individually for each body's system. There has been amazing results.
The other product I would recommend is lecithin which works with the nerve endings.
You can learn more about these products at www.integrativewellness.myshaklee.com. You can contact me at zannrose@aol.com with any specific questions once you have taken a look.
What are some things you have tried so far? Have you tried yoga? The other thing I would recommend which may sound a little odd but I have been doing some research on this is 'earthing.' The recommendation is to be outside 30-45 minutes a day in nature barefoot. They are seeing some amazing results with this too. If you want to learn more and I can direct you to some products I have seen but I haven't used yet, drop me an email.
Please do reconnect with me and I will also contact some of my other colleagues to see if there is anything else we can do to help you out.

Hope I have been of some help. Warmly, Suzanne
