Alternative Medicine/Allergic reaction to foods and smells

Question
I am a healthy middle aged, vegan female.  While I have learned to eat healthy, read labels, avoid preservatives, sweeteners, and other potential hazards in foods, lately, I seem to react to many foods by either feeling physically sick after eating or experiencing effects on my nervous system.  Also, when out in public, certain smells are offensive to my system.  I have tried different supplements, although I do not respond well to herbs or teas, and used to be able to take B complex or B-12, yet now the smallest amount causes me to be unable to sleep.  I am happy in my life, know how to manage stress, exercise regularly, and normally eat fresh fruits and vegetables, beans, rice, occasionally vegan meats, no sugar, caffeine, or alcohol, don't smoke, and drink water from natural springs here where I live.
Thank you for your help.

Answer
Dear Lee
I am glad to talk with health oriented person like you. My answer is  the point of view of the medical practitioner with experience in conventional and alternative medicine.
Food is the core of our health. Many diseases and disorders are depended either on deficiency of essential nutrients or excess or toxins. Humans have survived 150.000 years only because their eating habits were adjusted to the environment. Paleolithic nutrition included 80% plants and 20% animal (meat, fish, chicken, eggs, etc.). This diet kept people healthy. In my EBook “Healthy Pancreas, Healthy You," part 2, I focused that this diet is alkaline and is beneficial to humans GI tract.
I consider that your symptoms are connected with a deficiency of B12, carnitine, essential fatty acids, lecithin, essential minerals, possible Zinc, Iron), fat –soluble vitamins (A,D,E, K).
In my practice, I so smell disorders in vegan women with improving their conditions after zinc, B 12 and raw egg yolk. Sorry, I do not have sufficient information to give you medical advice, but my answer can be beneficial to you. You can call me for a consultation too.
I wish you healthy and happy life.
