Alternative Medicine/Making homemade baby wipes

Question
Hi Sharon!
Can you give me your opinion on benefits of making homemade baby wipes instead of buying commercially produced wipes? I am writing an article and need an expert quote.
Thank you so much!
Kelly

Answer
Hi Georgia
as the skin is permeable, things that are applied to it can be absorbed.  Minimising baby's exposure to chemicals of any kind is smart, and making non-toxic baby wipes is a great start. One just needs to ensure that the wipes will not grow bacteria.  There's also nothing wrong with using the time-honoured baby wipe moistener: water on a clean cloth.  Followed by thorough drying and application of a natural barrier cream, such as beeswax-based Papaya ointment.

kind regards
Sharon
