Question
I have been taking Burdock root for a couple of weeks and my acne seems worse. Does it get worse before it gets better? Or is there something else that will work better. I am also going through menopause which is when the acne started.

Answer
Dear Kathleen,
Acne is not usually explained this way, but it is the result of toxins in your body being released through the pores of your face, chest, back, where ever it appears.  So, I would say, the burdock is detoxifying your body, which is what it is supposed to do, but the toxins are simply still being excreted through the pores.  I believe this will improve within the next couple of weeks.  You might increase your water intake, so the kidneys can help flush out some toxins.  Increase veges and fiber and your intestines will also take some of the burden off of your skin.  One other thing.  Reduce yeast intake by just one or two servings for the next two weeks.  That will also lighten the work your body is doing right now.  I believe you are on the right track.  If you are not seeing signs of improvement in two weeks.  Write back and we will attempt something else.  Most natural health remedies need about a month before the change is apparent.
I will pray for your health.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
