Alternative Medicine/Arthritis

Question
Hi Tonja,

I have a question about a treatment.

I would like to treat a horse that has artritis.

I use a feed supplement incorporating essential polyunsaturated fatty acids from Cod Liver Oil and Evening Primrose Oil, and want to add: glucosamine sulphate, MSN, cat's claw bark & devil's claw root; and also use emu oil & magnet treatment.

My question is howmuch to add to the feed supplement of the glucosamine sulphate, MSN, cat's claw & devil's claw?

If it is not possible to work it out for horses then you could advise me the dosages for humans, and then I would have some idee of the dosages.

Regards,

Rudi

Answer
Even though horses are larger animals you don't need much more than for humans. So I would go with the recomended amount on the bottle you are using for human consumption.
I use a specific brand. All brands are different in content.  But going with what is recomended on the bottle for humans would be what I would personally do.
If you would like to use the brand I suggest you can go to my web site. I carry these products. Many of them come in combinations so you don't have to purchase individual items.
