Alternative Medicine/Calcium deposits
Expert: Imran R. - 7/21/2006
QuestionI have calcium deposit on top of my large toe, which is very painful and keeps me quite uncomfortable in shoes and walking. I have been told that the only way to reduce this pain is to get cortisone shots and the only way to get rid of the calcium deposit is through surgery. Are there other alternatives to getting rid of the pain and getting rid of the calcium deposit?

Dear Jeannette,
Thank you for your letter.
I believe an effective remedy to dissolve calcium deposits is with the use of apple cider vinegar. I do not believe in cortisone injections or in surgery. The problem is that surgery often does not work. The area that has been operated on responds by replacing the calcium deposits once more over time, so surgery is not an option.
Please get yourself some brown paper and a bottle of apple cider vinegar. Soak a piece of the folded paper in the vinegar and apply it to the area on your toe and fasten it there. Do this everyday. Leaving it on all day. The vinegar will get absorbed through your skin and begin to dissolve the deposits.
With this i would advise the use of a good nutritional product, something high in anti-oxidants to get rid of free radicals and something that will strengthen your immune system. This will help your toe as well.
I myself take a nutritional product called fruta-vida, and for me at least it has been wonderful. I would recommend it highly.
