Question
I am male,46,30 lbs.overweight.Although the tests came back Ok,I still suspect I have a sluggish thyroid.I do lots of cardio and keep my calories under 1500/day.Will Kelp help!

Answer
Hi Barry,
You can find out if your thyroid is functioning properly with a simple blood test. It is called a TSH test. Ask your doctor for it.
Kelp is rich in iodine. Iodine is essential to forming thyroid hormone. You do not want to mess with your hormones unnecessarily.
Thank you for using Allexperts
